Young London: Into Music

This summer celebrates the next generation of music talent in the Host Boroughs with the launch of a new urban music festival programmed and produced by young creatives – Young London: Into Music. Come and see rising stars alongside the hottest names in grime, dubstep and indie featuring Ms Dynamite, MOBO award winning Akala, Bashy, The Thirst, Brute Chorus, Ghetts, Leon Jean Marie! Over the past months over 100 of the brightest new creative talents from East and South East London have put together a show stopping series of fresh, live music and arts events, through the Young London:Into Music mentoring programme. In partnership with Biggafish, Continental Drifts, Music Matrix, Rising Tide, Urban Development.

The Bank of America CREATE Art Award

The first winners of the inaugural Bank of America CREATE Art award are Joshua Sofaer and Station House Opera. These major commissions are taking place this summer across the Five Host Boroughs as part of CREATE09. The award aims to give the residents of these boroughs a chance to engage with the local artistic community and to experience the unique cultural events happening in their neighbourhoods.
